Please join the Red Cross Club’s International Humanitarian Law Action Campaign in a panel with Clinical Advocacy Fellow Rebecca Agule and students from the Harvard Law School International Human Rights Clinic. The panelists will discuss toxic remnants of war (TRW), a growing area of advocacy, law, and policy that addresses potential harms to the environment or health resulting from chemical or radiological contamination caused in the course of conflict or military operations and activities. The panel will discuss TRW through the lens of the Clinic’s recent research on Kosovo, which examined the use of depleted uranium during the 1999 NATO air strikes. Pizza will be served.
