Join us for a talk with Professor Philippe Sands, Q.C., about his award-winning book, “East West Street: On the Origins of ‘Genocide’ and ‘Crimes Against Humanity'”. The book looks at the personal and intellectual evolution of the two men who developed the concepts of “genocide” and “crimes against humanity,” and their efforts to have these legal concepts form the centerpiece for the prosecution of Nazi war criminals. Professor Sands is on the faculty at the University College London’s Faculty of Laws, is a founding member of Matrix Chambers, and is a highly regarded expert in international law who has appeared before many international courts.
